Well, the first celebration cake of the year is this 'frozen' cake for a litle girl's birthday - I think it was a success! It's gluten, dairy, egg and nut free and she was very happy with it. The fun bit was making the shards of blue ice - I had to make syrup first and I couldn't use ordinary golden syrup as that's already yellow and thus doesn't colour properly. Adding blue to it results in green shards - handy for seaweed but not icilcles LOL. But my own syrup works and gave me great blue shards. I've already taken another 2 orders for the same cake 😃

Ok, I've finally given in and started a blog. Apparently it's good for website visibility, a key thing you know! I find it really difficult to find the time to write a blog, but here goes... please excuse ramblings, musings and nonsense that I may post! I can't believe it's February already - but at least I've started to fulfill my NY resolution of blogging :-)
Christmas was lovely and relaxing after a frantic rush of orders just beforehand, but now the pots and pans are well and truly back on full blast making batch after batch of fudge. My vegan, iron brew fudge is proving extremely popular! It certainly went down well as a cure for the Burn's night before - helped by my single malt fudge. Have a fab Valentines and I hope you all get spoilt rotten, or buy some of my chocs or fudges and spoil yourself x |
